Summer School ARC CBBC 2020_oud

We are happy to invite all ARC CBBC young researchers to the first ARC CBBC Summer School! Three days of interesting trainings at the premises of castle Oud-Poelgeest, home of the Dutch scientist Herman Boerhaave (1668-1738). During this event we aim to provide you with interdisciplinary training as well as valuable knowledge from the industry.

The event will kick off with a company visit at AkzoNobel, one of our four industrial partners. The first day will end at the Kaag, where you will enjoy a BBQ with your fellow researchers. After dinner you will head to the castle by boat. The following two days are dedicated to interactive trainings. You will either teach others or will present what you’ve learned in our ‘PhD teaches PhD’ segments. The lectures will be in the Gordon Conference Style, which means each lecture is followed by a scientific discussion. There will also be storytelling lectures by members from our industrial partners.

There is also time to socialize during breaks and dinner.

Please note that the Summer School is held once a year and is mandatory for all ARC CBBC PhD’s and PD’s.
Make sure you bring your laptop.
