Joseph Keddie

Prof. Joseph (Joe) Keddie obtained his PhD in Materials Science at Cornell University in 1992. In 1995 he moved to the University of Surrey, where he was later promoted to full Professor of Soft Matter Physics. Keddie was awarded the Paterson Medal and Prize by the Institute of Physics and named a Fellow in 2001. His research group has won several awards, and he has co-written a book entitled Fundamentals of Latex Film Formation: Processes and Properties that was published in 2010. In September 2011, he was elected as Chair of the Institute of Physics Polymer Physics Group. Keddie has been selected as the 2017 Thomas Graham Lecturer by the Joint Colloids Group of the Society of Chemical Industry and the Royal Society of Chemistry.
