A metallic duo to improve catalysts, by Kristiaan Helfferich (UU)

Prof. Petra de Jongh already mentioned it when she was hosted by the Dutch NPO Radio 1: young researchers are very eager to work on today’s challenges in making chemistry more sustainable. One of the researchers she supervises is ARC CBBC PhD-candidate Kristiaan Helfferich, who recently participated in our pitch training sessions. In his pitch, he explains how he combines two different metals, palladium and nickel, to create new and better catalysts. These catalysts could then contribute to more sustainable chemistry.
