In a bilateral project, academia and industry collaborate on a specific research topic leading to a direct impact on the chemical industry.
Bilateral projects at ARC CBBC: gaining a deeper understanding of topics in science to achieve breakthroughs in chemistry
In each bilateral project, an industry partner is paired with one or more university partners with the objective of addressing challenges in science that lead to the direct application of the results. In these projects, small teams are formed with one or more PhD students or postdoctoral researchers at their centre, which are subsequently supervised by researchers from universities and industry. The team then jointly conducts research directed at achieving breakthroughs in science leading to the development of the chemical technologies that comprise the basis of the chemical products and processes of the future.
