Exploring the dynamic behavior of catalysts under reaction conditions is always fascinating, and a few weeks ago, I had the chance to discuss exactly that on an international stage!
At the TOCAT10 conference hosted by Waseda University in Tokyo, I delivered an oral presentation on our latest project: "Unraveling Structure-Performance Relationships in Pd-Cu Catalysts for CO2 Hydrogenation to Higher Alcohols". By tracking our catalytic systems via DRIFTS and in-situ/operando XRD, we captured how adjustments in composition and reduction temperatures directly steer the selectivity of Pd-Cu catalysts toward ethanol. It was highly rewarding to share these insights with the global catalysis community.
