#Reinventingchemistrytogether! We bring the next generation of researchers together in our mission towards the #greenification of the chemical industry!
To encourage collaboration and expertise exchange ARC CBBC and Utrecht University of Applied Sciences got together and started a teaching project.
In this project, under the supervision of ARC CBBC researcher Kordula Schnabl from Utrecht University, a group of students from Utrecht University of Applied Sciences improved their scientific skills in the ARC CBBC Utrecht University hub lab by studying the effect of additives on the properties of the renewable biomass, chitosan.
Chitosan is not easily soluble and its viscosity is high. These characteristics make it difficult to use it for broad industrial applications. The students investigated ways to reduce its viscosity.
This project has paved the way for more and also other forms of collaboration between educational institutes and ARC CBBC.
We will keep you updated!
