New office members

Joyce Kromwijk en Alessia Broccoli

A warm welcome to our new office members! We would like to introduce them to you. Photos left to right:

Joyce Kromwijk is project leader at the ARC CBBC consortium, where she coordinates chemical and chemical engineering research initiatives. She assists in collaborations between academic and industrial partners to drive chemical innovations. This knowledge will be used to build a green, circular, and healthy society. Before she joined the ARC CBBC, she did a PhD at Utrecht University in the group of Bert Weckhuysen. During her PhD, she developed a two-stage thermocatalytic process to convert CO2 from industrial waste streams to benzene via methane. Her project mainly focused on the second step, where she studied zeolite-based catalysts in the methane dehydroaromatization reaction.

Dr. Alessia Broccoli is project manager at the ARC CBBC consortium, where she coordinates multidisciplinary research initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable processes. In this role, she supports collaboration between academic and industrial partners to drive innovation in chemistry. Before joining ARC CBBC, she worked as a project manager at the Multiscale Catalytic Energy Conversion (MCEC) research center and within the Inorganic Chemistry and Catalysis group. Alessia obtained her PhD and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Twente, with projects focused on the development of microfluidic devices for high-throughput screening of catalyst particles.
