Robert Peters, (Eindhoven University of Technology) (Zevenaar, the Netherlands) obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at van Hall Larenstein university of applied sciences, in Leeuwarden. Specialised in process engineering and downstream processing he conducted his thesis project at Carbogen Amcis BV on the isolation and purification of sterols from biomass. After graduation he continued working as a researcher at Carbogen Amcis BV before moving to Norway to pursue his Master’s in Sustainable Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. For his MSc thesis, Robert worked on vapour phase conversion of acetic acid over metal oxide catalyst at vapour phase conditions at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Starting June 2025, Robert joins Prof. Dr. Ir. Emiel Hensen’s group at TU/e in Eindhoven for his doctoral research fueled by his passion for valorisation of waste streams.
