Development of a modular photoreactor for the upscaling of continuous flow photochemistry

PhD candidate George Hermens has published his work in Reaction Chemistry & Engineering!

In collaboration with postdoctoral researcher Mathieu Lepage and researchers from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, George developed and experimented with a modular coaxial photoreactor to perform continuous flow photochemistry. Compared to batch photooxidation reactions, this continuous flow photochemistry is more suitable in the light of upscaling.
