Ferdi Schüth

Prof. Ferdi Schüth has studied both law and chemistry and obtained his PhD in chemistry at the University of Münster in 1988. In 1995 he went on to become full professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the Goethe University Frankfurt. Since 1998, Schüth has been Director and Scientific Member at the Max Planck Institut für Kohlenforschung. Since 2014, he serves as vice president of the Max Planck Society. Schüth has been granted a number of prestigious awards, including the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize and the Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker Prize.
