About me
I am doing my PhD at the University of Groningen and working together with AkzoNobel. I started to join the ARC CBBC community from 2018. Before coming to Groningen, I was studying in Amsterdam for my master’s degree. I’m interested in organic synthesis and catalysis.About my research
My project is finding an efficient and sustainable catalytic system for esterification. This project is also supervised by AkzoNobel aiming to apply the optimal conditions for making coatings. We want to avoid using toxic and harmful materials so that the synthesis can be eco-friendly. Apart from that, I’m also working on site-selective functionalization on carbohydrates, which could be interesting building blocks for polymers. This related research could also be beneficial for coating industry.Academic career
