About me
The research theme of the ARC of developing (catalytic) materials and technology for a sustainable future is right at the heart of my own core scientific interests. I have been mainly working on the development of new catalysts and on new conversion routes aimed at the sustainable production of green building blocks. As a scientist, I aim to work on topics of societal relevance, doing fundamental research that can contribute to practical, real-life breakthroughs. I am very excited that CBBC aims to be all about that: addressing the pressing issue of sustainably producing the energy carriers, chemicals and high-performance materials our society relies on daily.About my research
In addition to the development of new catalysts and novel conversion routes for, for example, the hydrogenation, oxidation or aromatization of renewable building blocks, perhaps the most valuable output has been the people trained in these projects, seeing MSc students, PhD students and postdoctoral fellows grow in scientific maturity is always very rewarding.
