About me

I grew up in Kerala, a southern state in India. I received MSc in chemistry from Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2011. After completing PhD in computational chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Raghavan B. Sunoj at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2019, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Colorado State University with Prof. Robert S. Paton (2019-2021). I joined as a postdoctoral researcher at the Delft University of Technology with Prof. Evgeny Pidko in June 2022.

About my research

My research interests are in the area of computational chemistry focusing on understanding catalytic reaction mechanisms and designing new catalysts applying quantum mechanical calculations and statistical modeling. Current work focus on understanding the homogeneous catalytic systems for plastic recycling. Developing efficient catalysts for plastic recycling is of paramount importance to address the environmental pollution from plastic waste. Objectives of the project are to understand the reaction mechanism and form efficient structure-activity relationships using a large catalyst library which would help design better catalysts.
