About me
I have done both my bachelor and master in Chemical Engineering at the University of Twente. After finishing my masters, I worked one year as a researcher on carbon capture technologies. Since the beginning of 2022, I am working as a PhD student in the Photocatalytic Synthesis group within an ARC CBBC project. In my free time I like to sew clothes, go to the gym and meet with my friends.About my research
My research focuses on an attractive anodic reaction which can be paired with the electrochemical reduction of CO2. We are working on the development of an integrated electrochemical cell. In this cell we want to further convert the product obtained by the CO2 reduction at the anode to create valuable chemicals. The reactions at both electrodes involve gas phase reactants so mass transfer limitations will occur due to typically low solubility in electrolyte. To overcome this, innovative porous tubular (hollow fibre) electrodes will be used in our research.Academic career
Researcher
2020-2021 Researcher in the Sustainable Process Technology group at the University of Twente, under the supervision of prof. dr. ir. D.W.F. Brilman. The research was focused on the development of sorbents for the capture of carbon dioxide.
Early Stage Researcher
2019-2020 Master degree in the Sustainable Process Technology group at the University of Twente, under the supervision of prof. dr. ir. D.W.F. Brilman.
